CTL Intern information
The Gateway MEGA and BOA have agreed to hire Kelly Soifer of the Center for Transformational Leadership for two years of contracted service to collaborate with Gateway and Greenville College to develop young leaders. This collaboration will help young leaders launch effectively into career and vocation in a Christ-centered and Free Methodist manner.
Not only are we excited about this new partnership but The Bastian School of Theology, Philosophy, and Ministry at Greenville College is as well. This is a key effort the Conference is putting forth to meet the FMCUSA 9 Strategies of Leadership Development. 9 Strategies of Leadership Development
Kelly is lay leader from our Southern California Conference who has developed extensive skills and training through seminary and over 30 years of vocational ministry experience, especially dealing with college age leaders. She has led the CTL in So Cal since 2011, mentoring over 50 interns in that time, and launched a similar program with the Pacific Northwest Conference in 2014. She also serves on the adjunct faculty in Religious Studies at Westmont College.
I have asked Kelly to network with our own Gateway leaders and Greenville faculty/staff, along with our connections in the region in order to mentor
Christ-centered leaders and release them to transform the church, community, academy, and business for the sake of the kingdom. Accomplishing this task will require pastors of the conference to be knowledgeable and completely invested in the CTL program when chosen to take part as a mentor. We have confidence that CTL will supply the resources, accountability and guidance to do so. CTL Brochure
I am looking forward to great stories of impact from this collaboration in the future!
